I've never attempted to read a book by a politician before. It was a bit of a struggle for me to get through The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama. I read just a few pages a day for weeks, but I was determined to finish it.

Overall, I liked it. I'm sure it helps that I'm pretty liberal and I'm currently an Obama supporter. I read most of the book after I voted in our primary. It made me feel even better about voting for him. I don't agree with everything in his book, and I think some things are oversimplified, but overall, I really liked reading his thoughts on the state of the nation and ways to improve things. I do think he could join our country and hopefully heal the rift that has gotten wider and wider in the last decade.
